The wall
Commissions never decide recommendations. Every toy on this site must pass the same checked-twice standard whether it pays us or not — and plenty of toys with generous affiliate programs never appear here because they failed it. If a recommendation and a commission ever conflict, the recommendation wins; that's the whole policy.
How you'll know
Pages carrying partner links say so near the recommendations (“We may earn a commission from partner shops”), not buried in a footer. When our own Stage Boxes launch, our products and partner products will be clearly told apart.
